Green Briar Nature Center & Jam Kitchen

2021 Annual Appeal

As we begin the 2021 season of giving and look forward to the start of our 46th year, we would like to give you an update on what we’ve been doing as we once again ask for your support.

Although still recovering from the financial setback of the pandemic, we were able to open the new Green Meadow Forest and Menagerie experience to our members and visitors on a limited basis. The Forest is a walk-through of the storybook world of Peter Rabbit, Grandfather Frog, Reddy Fox, Mrs. Quack and many other characters envisioned by Thornton W. Burgess.

We continued the “berry days” special events, the holiday Gingerbread Day as well as our popular jam-making classes although on a limited admission basis. In 2022 we hope to open everything up to welcome as many visitors as possible.

Finally, we received a private grant to begin the process of documenting our collections on a database that will ultimately be accessible through our Web site.

As with every other non-profit, we are still working on recovering from the COVID shutdown.

We appreciate your support and ask for your generous contribution as we continue to improve our programs and offer new ones during the coming year.
