Volunteer Opportunities at Green Briar Achieving Goals Our mission is to carry on the pioneering work of children's author and naturalist, Thornton W. Burgess, "to inspire reverence for wildlife and concern for the natural environment". We continue to strive through educational programs and community outreach to raise awareness of our natural world. The Society came into being through volunteer effort. Without the valuable assistance of our volunteers over the years, our goals could not have been achieved. Come share your talents and skills, or learn something new. Become an integral part of a team which enables us to make a difference and realize our goals!
Current Opportunities Currently we need volunteers to act as receptionist for 3 hours per day, 1 day a week at the Green Briar Nature Center. Training will be provided. Volunteers needed for our Craft Fair The Old Mother
West Wind Craft Fair is held in November, the week before Thanksgiving.
Our volunteers meet at Green Briar every Wednesday from 9:00am to
12 noon to craft together, chat and have coffee! Great group of “crafty
ladies” – come and join us and make new friends and share crafting
ideas.
